Edward Etcheverry is the Managing/Founding Partner, having established the Firm in 1998. Formerly from one of Florida’s oldest and most prestigious law firms, Mr. Etcheverry’s vision was to create a firm which maintained the rich tradition of providing exceptional quality service while fostering a more personalized, one-on-one approach to handling claims and resolving disputes.

Mr. Etcheverry has an unrivaled passion for the practice of law. With strong family ties to the construction industry, he concentrates his practice in the areas of complex litigation involving surety and fidelity matters, construction and insurance claims, and other commercial disputes. Knowing the intricacies of surety bonds, construction contracts and fidelity and other insurance policies serve as his foundation. AIA documents, takeover agreements, tender agreements, financing packages, completion agreements, ratification agreements, inter-creditor agreements and indemnity agreements are all a fundamental part of his practice.

Mr. Etcheverry represents the vast majority of leading surety and fidelity insurers in the Country, handling their most complex and sensitive matters. One of his key attributes is avoiding litigation by “putting the pieces of the puzzle back together” after a major default. When necessary, Mr. Etcheverry is a seasoned veteran in the courtroom, having successfully pursued and defended a variety of affirmative claims.

Mr. Etcheverry is considered a leader in the surety/fidelity and construction industries. He has been the Chair to the IADC Fidelity & Surety Committee, a Vice Chair of the ABA-FSLC, and a member of the Steering Committee for the Surety and Fidelity Division of the DRI. He frequently publishes articles and presents at national, regional and local conferences on surety, fidelity and construction issues. He was selected by The Florida Bar to author “Rights and Liabilities of the Surety” published in Florida Construction Law and Practice. Mr. Etcheverry is AV Rated by Martindale Hubbell and named as a Florida Super Lawyer.
